Dubai Real Estate News

The Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), part of the Dubai Land Department (DLD), enforced strict adherence to advertising regulations for real estate companies.

In a recent press release, RERA announced fines imposed on 30 companies for violating advertising terms and conditions. These regulations necessitate accurate information provision, possession of necessary advertising licenses, and inclusion of QR codes in advertisements for property data verification.

The aim is to govern advertising practices and prevent negative industry behaviors. Ali Abdullah Al Ali, Director of RERA’s Real Estate Control Department, emphasized RERA’s vigilance in monitoring advertisements, resulting in identified violations and fines of Dh50,000 each.

RERA had previously issued warnings to ensure compliance. Al Ali reiterated RERA’s commitment to transparency, stakeholder service, rights protection, and sector sustainability in alignment with DLD’s strategy. He urged ongoing compliance with regulations through training and emphasized avoiding unpermitted advertisements without QR codes.
